Camp Suwannee

Located on the banks of the Suwannee River in Live Oak, FL is Camp Suwannee at the Advent Christian Village. Live Oak is located in Suwannee County, which is named after the river, and roughly an hour and a half drive from Gainesville.

Camp Suwannee is open year-round and offers facilities for groups of up to 160 people. Throughout the year, numerous groups and organizations enjoy the camp’s all-purpose building, dining hall, swimming pool, ball fields, and other amenities at the Advent Christian Village.

Lodging options include cabins, cottages, tent sites, and rooms at the Village Lodge at the Advent Christian Village.

The Village Lodge, along with quaint retail stores and the Village CafΓ©, make-up the Village Square at the Advent Christian Village.

The Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park has ramps for boats, canoes, and kayaks to access to the Suwannee River. Visitors can also rent canoes from Camp Suwannee, as well as take part in team-building programs or try a ropes course.

Only a 30-minute walk from the Village Lodge is White Sands beach, which is a beautiful, steep beach that leads from the trail to the river. Visitors can go swimming and tubing in White Sands, and for the more adventurous visitors, try the rope swing for a fun way to get into the river.

Along with Camp Suwannee at the Advent Christian Village, Live Oak is also home to the Suwannee River State Park and Dowling Park River Camp.
